Posting something for the sake of writing something Non-Superman Related

I just wanted this post to move down the Superman Returns posts. Superman, my friends, is now a thing in the past. And all I can really say is, "Woohoo!" Not that it wasn't a good movie or anything, just, you know. It's old news.

What's up for next week's movie previews?

My personal summer movie that I'm really looking forward to? Why, it's Pirates of the Caribbean, of course. Ever since I went on my first ride on the Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland as a seven year old child, I fell in love with the whole "swashbuckling" pirates idea just as soon as I heard the "Yo Ho" song.

And then of course, came the Pirates of the Caribbean movie, starring the loveable Johnny Depp just a few years ago. Of course at this time I was around 17 or so, and I fell in love with the "swashbuckling" pirates idea for even more reasons. Not only were they fun, exciting, and full of witty one liners and daring adventures filled with gold, planks, and ghosts, but, some of these pirates were pretty damn attractive. Hey, I was a seventeen year old girl with hormones, afterall.

So now, in 2006, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest is coming to theatres, and millions of fans are going to be flocking to the theatres to join in the fun and adventures. I'm just crossing my fingers that Jack Sparrow is just as witty and charming as he was in the first one. I mean come on, who didn't fall madly in love with Jack the first time around? So as long as they don't overuse him to death and overexpose his appeal, the movie is bound to be just awesome.

What do you mean, you're using us to get rid of Superman?

So, in conclusion, after you've seen Superman, make sure you go check out Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest for a light, fun, and hopefully clever pirate flick. And if it's none of those things, and it's a super bad film, then at least go see it to get some non-tights action and a good lookin Johnny Depp. Ain't nothin wrong with that.
